Bree Skiba – 2200 Hours Certified

Bree Skiba, Registered Massage Therapist, also a member of the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada (NHPC).

Bree Skiba graduated from the Massage Therapy program at MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy in 2007. She then started Balance Massage Edmonton out of Metta Yoga Edmonton and in 2019 opened a third location out of Elysian Wellness.

The treatments that Bree performs include relaxation, therapeutic and trigger point massage she also has a deep interest and training in TMJ massage (temporomandibular joint disorders).

Andrew Miller – 2200 Hours Certified

Andrew is a 2200 hour registered massage therapist and a member of the natural health practitioners of Canada (NHPC).

Andrew Miller a Jamaican born and raised Aquarius whose passions lie in health and wellness. After being in this country for a few short years has found his calling in massage therapy. Andrew is a 2200 hour registered massage therapist and a member of the natural health practitioners of Canada (NHPC).

Andrew is currently completing the massage therapy program at Makami College and will receive a 3000 hour Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy diploma in April of 2015.

A list of the services he provides include, Swedish relaxation, therapeutic, sports massage, trigger point, and deep tissue.

Erica Waye – 2200 Hours Certified

Erica Waye is a 2200 hour graduate from MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy and a member in good standing with the Natural Health Care Practitioners of Canada (NHPC). She performs relaxation, deep tissue, and therapeutic massage.

Erica believes that client education is an important aspect of treatment. She strives to help her clients reach their goals not only through massage, but through body awareness and personalized self-care.

Coming this fall, Erica will be receiving her certification in cupping.

Christine – 2200 Hours Certified

Certified 2200 hours, Registered Massage Therapist

Chris is passionate about health and wellness. This is expressed in her work and private life where she can be found playing a variety of different sports, especially indoor and beach volleyball or taking long strolls with her friends. Chris is always exploring new avenues that would benefit her clients.

She is motivated to take action and shares what she learned that would lead another to experiencing success and representing their best selves. Her upfront and enthusiastic demeanour with her friends and clients motivates them to stay on track with their care.

She has a wealth of experience to help with body care and maintenance, trained as a registered massage therapist in 1993, Chris’s over 20 years of experience has her specializing in deep tissue, sports massage, relaxation, myofascial cupping, craniosacral, tuning forks and hernewest interest is in Guasha. Chris’ capable hands and her unique style give her an edge on working with her techniques.

As a longtime member of Natural Health Practitioners of Canada Association in good standing, Chris’ loyal and ethical resolutions are a highly valued commodity.

Keri McLaughlin – 2200 Hours Certified

Keri is a Certified Massage Therapist, Registered with the NHPC. She graduated from The Edmonton college of Swedish Relaxation Massage in 2004. Keri specializes in therapeutic massage with a focus on correcting postural issues, and muscle imbalances, as well as educating her clients to provide self care to progress to a place of living well within their own bodies.
This can be accomplished through a blend of massage techniques including deep tissue massage, trigger point work, stretching, and joint manipulation. While deep work is her preference, patient relaxation and comfort are still the ideal goal. By adjusting each massage to the individual client, she will provide a massage tailored to your bodies specific needs.

Svea Roberts – 2200 Hours Certified

Svea is a 2200-hour Massage Therapy graduate from MH Vicars and a member in good standing with the MTAA (Massage Therapy Association of Alberta). Offering Swedish, therapeutic, and deep tissue massage, Svea strives for every one of her clients to feel more at peace with their body and their mind by the end of each treatment.
Svea has found her passion in massage and takes great pride in relieving the ailments weighting people down in today’s society. While she loves being active in her spare time through hiking and fitness, Svea also understands that to truly connect with one’s body it is vital to take the time to recharge with self-care through relaxation techniques. An understanding of how our bodies carry life’s stresses helps Svea apply just the right amount of pressure to make the muscle tension and trigger points melt away. With a caring demeanor and intuitive hands, she listens to the body to make every treatment individualized to her client’s need every time they get on her table.

Jocelyn Elyse – 2200 Hours Certified

Jocelyn is a graduate of MH Vicars 2200-hour Massage Therapy Program and a member in good standing with the MTAA (Massage Therapist Association of Alberta). She is thrilled to be a part of the Balance crew!
Jocelyn is truly passionate about giving her clients a space they can feel at home in. Wellness obsessed, she is committed to educating herself and her clients to further their journey towards their best health. She offers both relaxation and therapeutic massage and loves to incorporate stretching, strengthening and joint mobilization to create a dynamic and effective treatment for each individual client.
Due to her background in competitive dance combined with a deep-rooted drive to foster both physical and mental well-being, Jocelyn hopes your mind will feel just as good as your body by the time you leave her table.

Janice Watt – 2200 Hours Certified

Janice received her 2200-hour Massage Therapy diploma with honours from MH Vicars School of Massage in June 2019 and is a licensed member of the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada (NHPC). She is currently completing her 500 hour Yoga Teacher Training with Modo (formerly Moksha Yoga); keep an eye on the schedule at Metta Yoga Edmonton to check out one of her classes!

Offering a warm and welcoming environment, Janice creates space for you to ask questions and openly discuss any concerns, ensuring you feel heard. A passionate advocate of self-care, Janice offers relaxation and therapeutic massage, but believes a balance between these two approaches often results in the most effective massage therapy sessions.

Trained in a variety of therapeutic massage techniques to treat common conditions including tension and migraine headaches, postural dysfunction, and overuse injuries, Janice tailors each treatment to the client’s specific needs. Myofascial release, trigger point release, joint mobilizations, and assisted stretches are key components of each massage alongside open communication and client education.

Jillian Cornish – 2200 Hours Certified

Jillian has been practicing massage therapy since graduating from MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy in 2015. She has since extended her training to include Myofascial Cupping and Orthopedic Massage, which are helpful modalities for overcoming all kinds of chronic injuries and pain.

She has a natural ability to put you at ease and is committed to helping you achieve your health and wellness goals by developing effective treatment plans and providing positive support.

She enjoys yoga and is passionate about Ayurveda, Holistic Nutrition and all things natural health.

Gina – 2200 Hours Certified

Graduated from MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy with 2200 hrs, a member of NHPC and a Certified Reiki Practitioner.

Gina currently offers Therapeutic/Deep tissue, Trigger Point Release, TMJ, Pre/Post Natal, Sport and Relaxation massage.

Gina believes in the natural healing power of our own body along with all the energy it has to offer us each and every day. She has been using Reiki in her daily life from an early age and found that after being certified to practice Reiki with clients that she wanted a more direct impact in the lives of others and decided to that by combining Reiki and Massage Therapy together would further help her clientele in their healing process. She is also continuing to further her skills and will be adding more services in the future as she learns more modalities.
